The following has been received by C. N. Richardson of Providence, R. I.: “ Dear Sir,we are very much pleased with your Common Sense nozzle which we tried at a fire October 4, 1896, at 16 Main street for ths first time. The fire was in a grocery store around the kerosene tank, and had gained considerable headway; but with your spray nozzle the pipemen went into the store and down the cellar stairs, driving the smoke and putting out the fire, and were not troubled with heat or smoke. John B, Gordon, Chief of Eire Department, Haverhill, Mass.”
“The Equity and Value of the Meter System” is the selfexplanatory title of a pamphlet just published by the National Meter Company, of this city.
