Austin, Tex., had 5,112 water meters in use on December 31, 1913, 262 of which had been set during the year.
The Niles, Mich., city council has adopted a resolution authorizing the Board of Public Works to spend $8,000 to set meters on all services. The council agreed with the Board of Public Works that it was a “necessary public improvement.”
