Los Angeles Plans for UHF City TV Station
The City of Los Angeles recently petitioned the Federal Communications Commission for a television channel to pennit establishment of a direct link between the city and the people.
Mayor Samuel W. Yorty said the proposed station would be similar to the present municipally operated UHF-TV station in New York City. Included would be general welfare and educational material in special fields such as fire, police, etc.
