LITIGATION
In 1913 the borough extended its water to West Bethlehem, and proposed to supply water on some of the streets at rates lower than those of the water company. The latter, in order to meet the competition, made the additional discount of 15 per cent, for prompt payment to consumers along the streets occupied by its competitor.
Judges Burke and Duncan rendered a decision in the circuit court at Towson. Md.. denying a petition of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore asking for the removal of the trial of proceedings instituted to condemn properties for use of the city’s new water supply dam at Loch Raven. The court in its opinion says neither party to a condemnation proceeding has a right to remove the case to another court.
