Insurance Patrol With Reo Machines

Fire Insurance Patrol No. 1, stationed on Milwaukee street, Milwaukee, Wis., recently has been equipped with two new Reo trucks, the bodies of which were built at the W. R. Sherrill plant, an illustration of which is shown herewith. “Early in the spring,” said A. J. March, president of the Curtis Auto Company, Reo distributors, "we were asked to demonstrate our truck for the fire department. We loaded one of them to 2,500 pounds’ capacity and made the demonstration on city streets and country roads that were none too good. We gave the commissioners a list of Reo owners. We heard nothing more for several months, and then came the order for trucks. We investigated and found that every Reo owner in the city had been interviewed, and it seemed as if they had acted as selfappointed salesmen for the Reo."
