Illinois State Firemen.
The third annual tournament of the Illinois State Firemen’s Association, at Lincoln, on August 4 to 6, was made the occasion of a great display of bunting, enthusiasm and hospitality by the townspeople, and of a good show of visiting firemen and some interesting contests. The opening parade, which took place on the afternoon of August 4 was one of the finest which was ever seen in Lincoln, and was composed as follows:
O. O. D. C. band, 18 : Company G-, I. X. G., escort, 24 ; Geneseo Ilose team, 15; I’olo Hook and Ladder team, 15; Mt. Pulaski Hose team, 15 ; Effingham Hose team, 20.
