球场骚乱藤的成员on Volunteer Fire Department, many of whom are personally impacted by the High Park fire, have stayed on to fight the fire, reports The Coloradoan.
The High Park fire has killed one woman and destroyed nearly 200 homes. Untold more homes have been damaged.
“It’s a monster still. It fights us every day,” stated Bob Gann, a Rist Canyon resident and chief of the area’s 33-member volunteer fire department.
Many of those firefighters have lost property to what has become the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history, which started in the fire department’s district on June 9. Five firefighters lost their homes even as they worked to protect the community.
