Solution in the Adoption by Agreement or Otherwise of the Acetate of Cellulose Film in the Manufacture of Moving Pictures—The Problem Seems to Be a Financial One

THE problem of the inflammable motion picture film is one which is of interest to fire chiefs the country over both in its relation to the hazard of the motion picture theatre, the use by amateur exhibitors and in lecture halls, churches and so on, and also on the other side of the question —that of storage of these dangerous films in motion picture film exchanges, in which establishments several bad fires have occurred. The following paper, which was originally read by Mr. Wentworth before the Eire Prevention and Conservation Association of Ohio at its annual meeting and which afterwards was presented at the Golden Jubilee convention of the I. A. F. E. at San Francisco, presents the subject in a very clear and concise form.
