An April 6 event has been scheduled to help raise funds for a Baraboo (WI) firefighter with a terminal case ofcolon cancer.
Treatment for Jeff Thompson, a longtime Baraboo Fire Department volunteer and father of four, has drained his family's bank account, according to a report from the Baraboo News Republic (http://bit.ly/135B1je).
After several rounds of chemotherapy since his October 2011 cancer diagnosis, doctors told Thompson he may not have long to live. Still, Thompson and hiswifeare holding out hope for a cure. The time and money required for treatment has eaten up the couple's finances and paid time off from work.
