FIVE HUNDRED OHIO TOWNS WITH NO ACCREDITED FIRE PROTECTION

Report Shows This Condition in 574 Cities, Towns and Villages of the State—Other Interesting Fire and Water News of Ohio

A booklet recently issued by the Ohio Inspection Bureau shows that there are 1,030 cities, towns and villages in the state, of which 574 have no accredited fire protection. There are 302 cities and towns in the state having public water works systems, and 154 additional towns having protection of some sort Of the total number 551 have been classified as to their fire defences under the new National Board of Fire Underwriters Grading Schedule, nearly one-half of this classification work being done in the year 1922.
