Firemen to Take Physical Tests
The plan of bi-yearly physical examinations of firemen adopted by Philadelphia, Pa., will go into effect about October 1. The physical tests will be complete, including acuteness of vision, X-rays of the chest, heart examinations and analytical blood and kidney tests. If the results of the tests disclose that a man is unfit for his present duties, he will be recommended for transfer to other work.
