
The Firefighters Support Foundation’s (FSF) newest training program is now available.
“OurMotor Learning and Performanceprogramis a great example of the cross-over in training methods between all public safety disciplines,” says FSF President David Kenik. The program consists of a 40-minute video presentation and an accompanying PowerPoint presentation.
这个程序地址the neurophysiological aspects of stressful situations and methods to program effective behaviors in light of them. The methods covered have been proven in law enforcement, military, and professional sports arenas. The presenters are Lt. Craig Allen and Officer Roberto DiGiulio of the Hillsboro (OR) police department, which cross-trains with the Hillsboro Fire Department extensively. Targeted primarily at trainers, the program is on overview of the layered approach totraining. This approach results in effective field performance much sooner than the traditional training methods of voluminous skill repetitions and good-old-fashioned on-the-job experience.
The program is free to all members of public safety and emergency management agencies.
