One person is dead after a Saturday morning house fire in Etowah County.
Authorities received a 911 call at 9:32 a.m. about a structure fire with a person inside the burning building.
Ivalee Volunteer Fire Department and Etowah County sheriff’s deputies responded to the blaze on Millers Hollow Road in Attalla and attempted to rescue the individual.
Authorities have not released the name of the deceased person pending notification of next of kin.
The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
