This officer development drill tackles the expectations of company and command officers by several different and very diverse groups, each with specific expectations of their officers. On page two of the drill, a group or individual is listed and your should put yourself into the mindset of that person or group; ask some global questions of what you think they expect you to do on their behalf when it comes to the following areas:
- Emergency and non-emergency assignments
- 职业发展
- Safety and survival
- Supervision
- 领导and mentorship
- Training and education
- Succession planning
Officers are aware that their positions carry many responsibilities with the rank and assignment within a company. Another perspective on the essential elements of leadership is to consider the expectations of the officer by various individuals and groups. By realizing the amount of responsibility your position carries and who is counting on you, an officer can develop better supervision and leadership skills.
