FIRE MARSHALS HOLD CONVENTION

Committee to Consider Making Organization International in Scope and Change of Name—Fire Marshal L. T. Hussey, of Kansas, Elected President

The annual convention of the State Fire Marshal’s Association of North America, the eleventh session of that organization, was held in Nashville, Tenn., on November 17-18 and 19. The meeting was well attended and the programme included a number of papers and discussions on topics of interest. The president, State Fire Marshal Walter H. Bennett, of Illinois, presided at the sessions. The new board of officers elected consists of president, Fire Marshal L. T. Hussey, of Kansas; vice-president, Fire Marshal Robert W. Hargadine, of Minnesota; Fire Marshal W. M. Campbell, of Louisiana, secretary-treasurer; members of executive committee, Fire Prevention Commissioner Charles W. Schuyler, of Tennessee, and Fire Marshal Walter H. Bennett, of Illinois. Invitations for the holding of next year’s convention were received from New Orleans, Des Moines, New York, Washington, Cincinnati, Chicago, Atlantic City, N. J.; Springfield, Mass., and Columbus, O. The selection of the city is to be made by the Executive Committee.
