Fire Bids Opened.
MUSKEGON, MICH.—Contract for 1,000 feet of hose was split up between the Bi-Lateral Fire and Hose Company, at 85 cents a foot; the H. D. Edwards Company, at same price, and A. R. Damm, at 82 3-5 cents per foot.
ROCKFORD, ILL.—The Ahrens Engine Company was awarded contract for a new steamer at $5,650. The other bidders were the American La France l ire Engine Company and the Nott Fire Engine Company.
