After a conference between Chief Kenlon, of the New York Fire Department, and the Committee on Fire Prevention of the Merchants’ Association, the following recommendations on the requests of the New York Board of Fire Underwriters of the Fire Commissioner suggesting certain changes of procedure and management in the fire department, were adopted:
“The association has been requested to consider the suggestions of the New York Board of Fire Underwriters and to supplement the effort of that organization to have the necessary corrections and improvements made. We have held a conference with Chief Kenlon of the Fire Department, at which the recommendations concerning that department were very carefully discussed and we report thereon as follows: The following recommendations have been made by the New York Board of Fire Underwriters:
