Chief Alt of St. Louis Dead
Charles Alt, Chief of the Fire Department, St. Louis. Mo., died at his home of erysipelas after a three week’s illness which followed a throat infection. He was sixty-seven years old and a member of the department for thirtyseven years.
Some time early in June. Chief Alt suffered from a cold that developed into streptococcus throat infection and then later into erysipelas.
