Boise Raises Pay of Firemen.
At the last regular meeting of the city council of Boise, Idaho, an ordinance was passed increasing the pay of the firemen. Under the ordinance all raises take effect as of August The present schedule now is as follows:
Chief, $150; assistant chief, $100; captain, $84; lieutenant, $73.50; drivers, $73.50; engineer and master mechanic, $95; engineers of steam engines, $78.50; engineers of chemical engines, $68.25; hose, nozzle, fire alarm, hydrant, hook and ladder men, $68. Should the fire chief designate an electrician from among the last named his salary shall be $78.25.
