AUTOMOBILE STORAGE.
The Boston Manufacturers’ Mutual recommendations as to the storage of automobiles are as follows: “Automobiles should not be permitted to enter any main insured building when charged with gasolene, or into any building, even on the premises where automobiles are made, except those set apart for this special use, carefully guarded and specially protected, or to be charged with gasolene. They should be sheltered in a separate building, when possible, at the greatest distance from the insured property that the size of the mill yard will permit. Gasolene in stock should be kept in tanks buried in the ground outside tin* automobile shelter and pumped or drawn from the tank when needed. Automobile sheds not ventilated at the level of the floor should he provided with large openings to give escape to the heavy explosive vapors.’’
