ALBERT A. BLOSSOM DEAD.
The many friends of Albert A. Blossom will regret to learn that he died suddenly on Friday morning, January 26, at his home at Salem, Mass. “Bloss,” as he was familiarly known to the trade, was a genial, whole-souled fellow, a thoroughly conscientious worker, and a most faithful friend. His word was as good as his bond; consequently, he was always trusted and respected. “Bloss” experienced many a hard knock during the twenty-five years in which he represented manufacturers of water works supplies on the road, and he was well known to all the water works people east of the Mississippi. During the last seven years of his life he had been in the employ of the Hersey Manufacturing company, of Boston, as salesman for its meters. He was engaged in the factory of the company up to Tuesday, January 23, when he complained of acold and went to his home at Salem. On Thursday evening he was obliged to go to bed, and on Friday morning the spirit of poor “Bloss” departed. He death was ascribed to diabetes.
