A Model Hose Carriage.

A Model Hose Carriage.

The hose carriage illustrated herewith is an example of those now turned out at the establishment of P. J. Cooney of St. Louis. As will be observed it is a very handsome piece of apparatus, with crane-neck frame, and is elaborately equipped, being provided with every device which long experience has shown the builders to contribute toward the perfect working of the machine.

These hose carriages are made of carefully selected material and are tastefully painted, and finished with polished metal. They are now in use in a number of leading fire departments, and the officials of St. Louis, Mo., have just shown their appreciation of their merits by ordering three of the No. 1 size for service in that city, in addition to two of the new style hose wagons made by Mr. Cooney. That builder, by the way, also manufactures hook and ladder trucks and hose carts, the latest orders for the last coming from St. Charles, Mo., and Goldendale, Wash.
