An elderly woman was seriously injured in a two-alarm fire this morning at a senior living community in Winchester, reports The Boston Globe (http://bit.ly/1w2IDkP)
Firefighters responded to the fire at The Gables at Winchester, an assisted living home for seniors, at 10:19 a.m. on Wednesday. A female resident in her sixties suffered serious burns and was transported to Mass. General Hospital.
The fire has been knocked down, and officials are investigating its cause.
