Emergency crews searching door-to-door in Jamestown, outside Boulder, found one body while evacuating residents who were stranded in canyons above the city. Sheriff’s officials said at least one other person in Boulder County had been killed. The body of a man killed in Colorado Springs was found by police on flood watch foot patrols, the city’s fire department said in a statement.
A 15-20 foot high “wall of water” in Boulder County’s Left Hand Canyon forced a firefighter to seek refuge in a tree, where he became stranded. Reports indicate that he was rescued without injury.
