Sacramento Rescue Crews Save Man Trapped Under Train

Sacramento emergency workers raised a light-rail train to pull out a man who fell during an argument and was run over by the train, reports The Sacramento Bee (http://bit.ly/K3Etg1).

Firefighters used pneumatic air bags and a hydraulic jack to lift the car and free the man. The extrication took about 25 minutes and the man was conscious during the rescue. The newspaper reports that emergency rescuers were able to talk with the man and attempt to calm him.

The man remains in critical condition.
