Recognize individual training achievement

Do you know someone who has gone beyond the call of duty in training?188金宝搏是正规吗would like to recognize such an individual with its 2005 Training Achievement Award, to be given at the 2005 Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 11-16, 2005. The award recognizes individuals for extraordinary accomplishments in fire service training.

The 2004 recipient, Tracy J. Raynor, division chief of training and safety for the Boise (ID) Fire Department, was cited for his “ongoing commitment to countless programs … all intended to keep firefighters alive.” Among those training programs is the BFD Annual Firefighter Safety Symposium. Its realistic hands-on and classroom training and the many talented fire service speakers it features has earned it national recognition and has enabled area departments, including the smaller ones, to participate in training that otherwise would not be available.

The 2003 award was given to Scott Millsap posthumously for the innovation and energy he brought to fire service education and training worldwide. Millsap was the president of ESE Training Associates, a global emergency response training company. He, along with several ESE instructors, developed “Axioms of leadership,” which combines servant leadership methodology and Marine Corps Warrior Stations and is a favorite FDIC H.O.T. class.
