Firefighters from Bend, Oregon, are in training preparing for an annual Seattle fund-raiser, a stair climbing competition, to raise money for cancer research, according toa report from KTVZ NBC news.
Thereportindicates that firefighters are preparing for the annualBig Climbat Columbia Center in Seattle, Washington in March, where they will run up 69 floors in full gear weighing approximately 60 pounds. Last year firefighters from 291 participating departments raised $930,000.
