One Woman Dead After Fire at Haltom City (TX) Home

Jan. 27—A woman is dead after a house fire in Haltom City on Thursday morning, according to a news release from the fire department.

Firefighters from Haltom City, along with neighbor fire departments, were sent to the fire in the 5900 block of Cimarron Trail around 9:35 a.m., according to the release. When they arrived, they saw smoke and fire coming from the house.

Firefighters found an adult woman dead in the living room, the release said. The fire department has not released any details about how she died or what caused the fire, and said an investigation is ongoing.

Haltom City Fire is working closely with other agencies to investigate the cause of the blaze, according to the release.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the woman after next of kin has been notified.
