One person was seriously injured Sunday morning in a fire that broke out in an apartment building in the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois.
Firefighters were alerted at about 10:51 a.m. to a two-story building on the 400 block of West 99th Street, Chicago Fire Department spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim told aChicago Tribunereporter (http://trib.in/WVlu18).
One person was rescued and taken in serious-to-critical condition to an area medical facility.
