RIPLEY, Ohio — A man, woman and their 4-year-old daughter were found dead after a house fire in Brown County.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as Phillip Royster, 49, Ashley Ramos, 33, and Annabella Royster, 4,WLWT Channel 5 reports. Two other children, boys ages 8 and 10, escaped the fire and were taken to a hospital for evaluation, WLWT reports.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, firefighters were called to the home just after 5 a.m. Friday. The two boys who escaped the fire told rescuers that three people still were inside the burning home.
Multiple fire departments were called to the home to battle the fire. The three victims were found inside, according to the sheriff’s office.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time, according to the sheriff’s office. Ripley is located on the Ohio River about 50 miles southeast of Cincinnati.
