On Sunday, the Chili (NY)i Fire Department received multiple calls for ahouse fireat 3 a.m. on Hubbard Drive. Additional reports of a woman jumping from a window followed.
During the response, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported thehousefully involved. Churchville Fire Department was also dispatched, as well as severalEMSunits from Chili, Gates, and Monroe.
Upon arrival of a battalion chief and deputy chief, firefighters confirmed a fully involved 1 1/2-story residence with flames from the A, B, and C sides. Alive wirehad already burned through and was sparking on the front lawn. Athermal imagerindicated a front door temperature of 1600 degrees.

Command ordered an exterior attack only after all occupants were accounted for and liveammunitionandfireworkswere ignited and explosions heard. As the attack continued, thegasline at the meter failed, causing an additional hazard.
Firefighters prevented the spread of the fire to neighboring homes.
One firefighter suffered a minor leg injury and two civilians sustained minor injuries, requiring transport by EMS.
Companies from Spencerport, Clifton, and Gates provided fill-ins. The Monroe County Fire Bureau is investigating the cause of the fire that resulted in a total loss of the structure and its contents.
