On March 17, 2013, Cherry Hill (NJ) firefighters were alerted of a building fire on Rt. 70 at 3:30 A.M.
EMS arrived on location and reported a working fire. Battalion 13 arrived and reported a one-storycommercial propertywell-involved withexposureproblems on the B and D sides. Crews set up fordefensive operations.
Crews secured water supplies and set up two tower ladders and two squirts with multiple handlines to surround the building. A second alarm was sounded.
Command reported heavy fire throughout the original fire building with heavy smoke from the attached B exposure.
Crews remained indefensiveoperations until the the fire was knocked down and brought under control. No firefighter injuries were reported on the fire ground.
The original fire building had multiple wall collapses. The attachedexposurehad minor fire extension.
The original fire building was a embroidery shop for clothing. The exposure was a Auto Body shop.
The fire is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Fire Department and the Camden County Prosecutors Office.
