Two boys were hospitalized today, one in a critical condition, after being rescued from a ravine in San Dimas, reports Glendora Patch (http://bit.ly/1d7esuM).
Both are residents at the nearby McKinley Children’s Center, said Sgt. Victor Ibara of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s San Dimas Station, adding they were reported missing about 7:30 p.m. Monday and it was believed they had wandered away from the property, which backs onto the ravine.
Supervisor Ed Pickett of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said the 15-year-old was unconscious when found and extracted from the ravine, and he was transported by air to a local hospital in critical condition. Pickett described the second victim’s injuries as minor.
