Boise (ID) – No one was injured in a fire that destroyed one half of a duplex at 1512 W. Boise Avenue Thursday morning.
A resident of the destroyed part of the structure, a grandfather, got checked out by paramedics after reporting chest pains, but he was up and conscious as fire fighters quickly knocked down the fire.
Though they had a handle on fire within about five minutes Boise firefighters say smoke and flames damaged most of the one home. The other part of the duplex, that was housing five people was not affected by the blaze, said Daryl Riedinger, battalion chief.
