Hundreds of people fled a two-alarm fire on the eighth floor of a high-rise building Tuesday in downtown Buffalo, New York.
The fire began just before 11 a.m. local time, according to wkbw.com report (http://bit.ly/AoScjv). Firm alarms in the Convention Tower sounded and most people managed to escape on their own, although fire crews did need to search for stragglers who remained inside.
The fire was mostly contained inside the law offices on the building’s eighth floor, although there was some extension into the hallway. Officials say the fire caused around $325,000 in damage.
Two firefighters suffered unspecified injuries and were transported for evaluation. No tenants were reported injured.
