A three-alarm fire engulfed an East Village apartment building Tuesday night, officials said.
The fire swept through the first and second floor of a six-story East 2nd Street apartment building at about 11:30 p.m. Firefighters needed two hours to extinguish the fire.
Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries. No firefighters were hurt.
