Feb. 9—Multiple engines respond to a house fire that broke out late Tuesday night in central Fresno, near Dakota and Thorne avenues.

Fresno City Battalion Chief Brad Driscoll said crews arrived just before 10 p.m. and found the two-story house with a substantial amount of flames coming out of multiple sides of the structure, including the front side of the home that was destroyed.

Crews searched the back end of the home for anyone trapped inside. No one was found and crews worked to extinguish the fire.

The house was a total loss.

Driscoll said they were told the home was vacant, but also reports of two people living inside.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

An apartment and another home next to the burning house were not threatened.

No injuries were reported.

达科塔州大道,西棕榈落水洞ue, was closed down until 1:30 a.m.
