The New YorkDaily Newsreported on Charlotte Shannon, the daughter of a 30-year veteran of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) who will join her father on the job after graduating from the fire academy Tuesday.
The Shannons become only the second father-daughter team in department history and the FDNY’s only active pairing.
The report goes on to say Charlotte’s great-uncle also worked in the department, and assorted other relatives were firefighters.
