A dwelling fire was reported at 15 Cedar Ave around 11 p.m. on May 22, 2014. Police arrived on location reporting heavy fire and requesting the All Hands box.
Command struck the All Hands and arrived with a 2 1/2-story single-family wood frame dwelling with heavy fire conditions in Division C. Firefighters arrived and went into operation with a2 1/2-inch handlinefor heavy fire on the first floor. A water supply was secured as a 1 3/4-inch handline went to the second floor with fire extension.
Crews knocked the bulk of the fire down and opened up.EMStreated and transported the elderly homeowner with smoke inhalation.
The fire is under investigation. There were no injuries to firefighters.
