几个small explosions were reported inside the building of a chemical manufacturer today in West Berlin, New Jersey.
The fire began around 2 p.m. on Thursday inside a large building for ResinTech, a resin maker, according to NBC 10 (http://bit.ly/1j7sOwc).
Five fire companies from both Berlin Township and surrounding towns are responding and that the small explosions were most likely the result of the ignition of chemicals stored inside the building. Part of the structure’s roof collapsed. The roof is lined with dozens of rows ofsolar panels, which could prove problematic, as in the case of theDietz & Watson warehouse fire last year.
Workers at the plan had been safely removed from the building. News reports indicated specialhazmatteams were on scene.
