An early morning fire killed a Wake Techstudentand destroyed a home early Wednesday morning in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Firefightersfound the body of 19-year-old David Israel Benzo Jr. in a bedroom as flames gutted the middle part of the home and engulfed the roof, according to the report. The man was reportedly asleep when the fire started.
“When there’s not a lot of traffic through a subdivision this time of night it’s very difficult for somebody to spot it and call it in,” Garner Fire救援Chief Matt Poole said. “So the fire had progressed further than it would normally have during the daytime hours.”
Wake Technical Community College is a two-year community college located in Raleigh.
