Kentucky County Launches Mobile-Ready Site for Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program

There's a new, mobile-readyWeb sitefor Laurel County (KY) Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP), aimed at educating and enhancing emergency preparedness in the event of a chemical agent accident. Laurel County is one of 10 Kentucky counties that neighbors thechemicalstockpile stored at the Bluegrass Army Depot, and is considered to be one of two host counties for relocation in the event of achemical agentaccident at the Bluegrass Army Depot.

The site,http://laurelcsepp.ky.gov/Pages/default.aspx, provides CSEPP county contacts, instructions on what to do in the event of an emergency, and family preparedness information.

“Placing emergency preparedness in the palm of a citizen’s hand was the primary goal of this site update,” said Brad Smith, Director of the Laurel County CSEPP. “In addition, the site’s content structure allows citizens to find the information they are seeking in the most efficient manner.”
