The firstNational Consensus Conference on Community Paramedicine(NCCCP) took place October 1-2, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. More than 100EMSleaders attended with hundreds more joining through online video streaming with chat capability. The NCCCP was a joint venture of the Joint Committee on Rural Emergency Care (JCREC) and theNorth Central EMS Institute(NCEMSI), funded by theAgency for Healthcare Research and Quality(AHRQ).
Discussions focused on communityparamedicroles and educational requirements, integration with the medical community, medical direction and regulation,reimbursement和资金,质量改进, evaluation and research.
