Injured Firefighter Rescued by Colleagues in Chicago

A firefighter was rescued this morning after falling through a floor during a vacant structure fire on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois.

The Chicago Tribune(http://trib.in/TT9msZ) reports that the firefighter may have suffered a fractured right arm. He was in stable condition after being taken to an area hospital.

AMaydaywas called when the firefighter fell through the first floor of the vacant, two-story building. The firefighter was bringing a hoseline into the building when the floor collapsed and he fell into the basement. Other firefighters removed him via a basement window.
