A group of New Bedford High School students were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital after being exposed to chemicals in a science lab, thefire departmentsaid.
Two of the students were transported by ambulance after experiencing “mild symptoms.” Another 22 students were were transported by school bus to the hospital for evaluation “out of an abundance of caution.”
新贝德福德消防部门said it conducted an air monitoring the school “determined that it was safe for classes to continue.” But they will “remain on scene to ensure the safe air quality of the school.”
The school, fire department and police department are still investigating the incident.
