New Firefighter Game at the Fire Museum of Maryland

Children take turns saving each other from a “burning building” as part of a new Fire Rescue Game, Fridays at 11 am, in the Fire Museum of Maryland. They perform the rescues in fire gear and with a play breathing apparatus to understand how firefighters save people in an emergency.

The Fire Museum offers a different children’s activity at 11 am, Wednesday — Friday, June through August, followed by a guided tour for all ages at noon. Wednesday is Children’s Crafts Day, Thursday is Story Time and Friday is the Fire Rescue Game. The guided tour continues on Saturdays for all visitors at noon.

In the Discovery Room, children can dress up in fire gear and climb on a 1938 fire engine!

The Fire Museum is the third largest fire museum in the world, featuring over 40 antique fire engines and a reconstructed 1870s fire house on the main floor. Other exhibits include a history and video of the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. The museum is filled with artifacts that depict the working lives of firefighters from the early 1800s to the present.

5月的公共时间是星期六,上午10点至下午4点,从6月至8月,星期三至星期六,10-4 pm。入场费为成人$ 12,老年人和消防员10美元,儿童(2-18)$ 5。
