The Boston (MA) Fire Department (BFD) has in service three pumpers and one heavy rescue built by KME. Firefighter/PIO Steve McDonald says the pumpers were designed for general firefighting and have a short wheelbase for better maneuverability on tight, narrow streets as well as through traffic.
