West Virginia Chiefs Organize
During the meetings of the first annual West Virginia Fire School held in Morgantown, W. Va., July 27-30, the Chiefs of the state formed the West Virginia Fire Chiefs’ Association with Chief Martin Quinn of Martinsburg as President. The other officers are Chief J. R. Hare, Morgantown, Vice-President, Chief E. A. McGranahan, Wheeling, Treasurer, and Chief C. J. Powell, Romney, Secretary.
The school was a success from every point of view, according to an opinion expressed by Lewis V. Carpenter of West Virginia University, who is Director and Secretary of the Extension School. A total of 152 persons had registered.
