WELLS
A stock company has been formed at Lancaster, Tex., to dig an artesian well and erect water works and organized by the election of the following officers: R. P. Henry, president; S. L. Randlett, vice president; W. A. Strain, secretary; and F. M. Hammond, treasurer. Committees were appointed on charter, specifications and bids, location, by-laws and franchise.
The Artesian Well company which has been drilling for water at Norfolk, Va., have as yet found nothing, but is still confident of ultimate success, notwithstanding the discouragements they have so far encountered.
