WELL DRILLING NOTES.
The artesian well at the State Orphans’ Home, Corsicana, Tex., has now reached a depth of 1560 feet. At 1436 feet chalk limestone rock was struck, which was strong enough to stand the work of the tools so that the work of easing every few feet could be abandoned. A good flow of water will be reached soon.
The artesian well, Henry Grove, Tex., has been sunk to the depth called for in the contract, being now 1519 feet deep.
